Crosshaven U12s advanced to the next round of the SFAI National Cup with a comprehensive 7-0 win over Springfield Ramblers A in Cobh on Saturday.  The team made the most of the sunny and dry conditions to pass the ball around in the first half with pace and skill that Springfield simply could not live with.  Crosser went in 4-0 up at half time with some well taken goals and a solid defensive line.  In the second half and in the warm conditions, the pace inevitably dropped off but nonetheless Crosshaven were good for a further 3 goals to wrap up a handsome 7-0 win.  The Crosshaven goal was never seriously threatened due to the hard-working midfield and disciplined defence.  The rate of conversion of chances into goals was excellent as was the spread of goals around the team.  With two wins on the bounce, the U12s are taking shape nicely for the long season ahead.

Well done to Rory, Shay & Rhys, representing Crosshaven AFC at Cork U12 trials tonight. We are all proud of the lads. Great recognition of the hard work and training put in by not only the players but their coaches as well.
